Whenever someone asks me why it’s necessary to blog, I always tell them the two main reasons are to connect with your audience, and to increase the amount of content on the web.  Connecting with your audience is obvious, but why would you want more content on the web? So you can create search engine optimized (SEO) pages that are targeted for certain specific keywords.
